The ski resort “Ravna Planina” is located in the Gornje Pale, 20 kilometers away from Sarajevo and 2 kilometers from the center of Pale. Since the 2014/15 season, this ski resort has been open to all visitors and enthusiasts of both winter and summer activities.
Due to its close proximity to the Olympic mountain Jahorina, Ravna Planina as a tourist destination, with the opening of the “Ski center,” becomes even more attractive and attracts numerous tourists with its beauty.
The “Ravna Planina” ski resort offers 12.5 km of ski slopes maintained to the highest standards, with the main slope being 1400 m long, which has been homologated and meets all world standards, and is also used for hosting FIS races.
Ski center “Ravna planina” is a ski resort located near Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The resort offers a variety of winter and summer activities, including skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, hiking, mountain biking, quad biking, via ferrata, adventure park, children’s playground, tourist train, picnic areas, and more. This ski resort is also connected with a 12km-long cross-country skiing trail and a snowmobile trail, with the possibility of recreational alpine skiing.
Ski Center “Ravna Planina” also offers an 800-skier capacity ski lift, a ski kindergarten and baby lift, as well as a “Gondola” for transporting skiers and for panoramic sightseeing.
The “Gondola,” as part of the Jahorina Express project, is the first built cable car of this type in Bosnia and Herzegovina (December 25, 2017), consisting of 19 cabins, each carrying 10 skiers, which amounts to 2200 skiers per hour. Infrastructure of this type has previously graced world ski resorts, and is now available to skiers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Gondola moves from the restaurant “Gondola” to the top of the main slope, where artificial snow-making lakes are located (artificial snow-making is done with the help of 11 snow-making machines). From this location, all visitors can enjoy the extraordinary view that extends from Pale and Sarajevo on one side, to Jahorina, Zlatibor, and Romanija on the other.
With the commissioning of the cable car at “Ravna Planina,” the first phase of the “Jahorina Express” project has been completed, which would, after the completion of the second phase, or the final connection with “Jahorina,” connect these two ski resorts, allowing all tourists, visitors and skiers to be transported from “Ravna Planina” to “Jahorina” and vice versa, following the example of other world ski resorts.
“Ski Center Ravna Planina” offers winter and summer activities such as ski slopes, gondola, ski kindergarten, ski lift, ski rental and service, toboggan runs, ski school, swimming in clean spring-fed lakes, cycling, via ferrata, adventure park, children’s playground, tourist train, picnic areas, observation decks with installed telescopes, electric vehicle chargers…

The “Gondola” restaurant offers a rich national and international cuisine, with 1000 seats including terraces. The restaurant also has a fireplace room for those who enjoy a warm atmosphere, pleasant music or an interesting book, for socializing, celebrations and family gatherings. The terrace stretches along the entire length of the restaurant, ideal for enjoying a sunny day, fresh air, and an inspiring view of the beauty of Ravna Planina. The “Gondola” hut, located at the top of the slopes between two lakes, has 300 seats and also offers a wide gastronomic offer.
There is a parking lot with a capacity of 1000 parking spaces.
