March is coming to an end, and we are still skiing. This was also the case last season at the Ravna Planina Ski Center, but this year, thanks to the trust of our visitors, we have exceeded all previous results. In the 2018/2019 season, we achieved 110 days of daily skiing and 100 days of night skiing continuously, confirming that skiing at our Ski center is guaranteed. The quality of the groomed slopes meets the highest European and world standards in all weather conditions. Through dedication and hard work, we have earned the trust of our guests, resulting in a new record attendance this season, with over 800,000 gondola and ski lift rides. Guests had access to 12.5 km of top-notch ski slopes of various categories (2 blue, 1 red, 1 black), 1000 seats at the Gondola restaurant, 300 seats at the Gondola hut at the top of the mountain, as well as 1000 free parking spaces.
Guests particularly enjoyed the benefits of riding in enclosed cabins of our gondola, where visitors are protected from the cold and wind while enjoying the stunning views of the mountain landscapes that stretch from Vlasic to Zlatibor. Our Ski center, the only one in Bosnia and Herzegovina, provides this convenience of vertical transportation in enclosed cabins that allow for maximum comfort and enjoyment of the nature and mountain experience.
Since the first day, children have been our favorite and most numerous guests. The youngest ones enjoyed winter activities in the children’s daycare center with numerous fun activities and a children’s ski lift. Their smiles and laughter have embellished the atmosphere of the Ravna Planina Ski Center and have become something that truly defines us.
The winter season, which was officially opened on December 1, 2018, is still ongoing, and we have prepared new interesting activities for the summer season. We emphasize that the gondola will be in operation 356 days a year, and according to the summer working hours, the gondola will be available to all visitors from 11 am to 6 pm for panoramic sightseeing, enjoying the cabin at the top of Ravna Planina, walking on the prepared mountain trails or cycling.
For the summer, we have prepared picnic areas for our guests with all necessary accessories at the top of Ravna Planina near two artificial lakes where it is possible to enjoy fishing, swimming, pedal boats, and other fun water activities, especially for children. Also, the new zip-line will take guests over the lake in a unique adrenaline adventure in the midst of untouched nature.
We expect an increase in interest in cycling as there is huge potential for fans of this sport, and we offer our visitors 20 km of cycling trails of various categories, as well as many adrenaline activities. Hikers and walkers are our loyal guests, and for their enjoyment, we have prepared 30 km of marked hiking trails in a picturesque ecological environment with numerous viewpoints, drinking water sources, and passing by the “Youth Cave” whose secrets, unique jewelry, and speleological content we will offer to our visitors in the near future. From the hiking trails of the Ravna Planina Ski Center, it is possible to reach Jahorina, as well as Romanija and Novakova Pećina. There are plans to develop new activities for climbers and adventure tourism enthusiasts.
We are particularly proud of our horse riding offer which will be available to our visitors from this season. This form of recreation is in line with the ecological principles that we strongly advocate, and environmental protection is a priority in all our activities. For example, the water in our lakes is spring water, and we grow fish in one lake that visitors can fish, grill or take away. Let’s not forget about the mushrooms and teas that are widespread on Ravna Planina and their collection is becoming more and more popular in this ecological area, which is certainly another reason to be our guests in a complete experience of nature, fun, and enjoyment.

- “FIS Mainex Cup” in men’s and women’s slalom and giant slalom, in which domestic competitors and the best skiers from the region, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Slovakia participated. The significance of this event is that it is the first FIS race in the region, which enables competitors to win the first FIS points of the season and further promotes Ski center Ravna planina.
- FIS trophy “Ravna planina 2018” which is counted for participation in the European Winter Youth Olympic Festival 2019 and is also a qualifying race for participation in the World Championships, in which 106 skiers from 16 countries participated in the giant slalom and slalom.
- Slalom training for the children’s national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a selection race for the children’s national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in which 20 competitors participated in the men’s and women’s categories, organized by the Ski Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- “Mainex Cup 2019”, organized by the Ski Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a competition for younger categories, and the technical organizer was the Ski Club “Pale”.
